The Basics
What we provide:
Bricks. I bring the LEGO® bricks, and I take the bricks with us when I go. That’s because I’m in the experience-providing business, not the brick-giving-away business.
Other artifacts. Depending on the event, I may take pictures of what’s been built, display the pics, print an extra one to send home with the builder. I provide the cameras, film, display boards, and writing materials. I’ll even provide table cloths and hand sanitizer.
The design. I have already-designed events, and I can tweak those for you, or, maybe, design one just for you.
What you provide:
Venue. The venue should have some measure of privacy and protection—how much depends on the type of event. We’ll need tables and chairs as well. And don’t forget access to bathrooms!
Advertising/invitations. Whoever your intended participants are, you know how to reach them better than me.
Extra bodies. For come-and-go events that are likely to attract a lot of participants, I may need extra bodies from you for traffic control, getting people started, taking pics, displaying pics.
What it costs
That depends. For community events, I don’t charge anything. For other events, it depends on whether I’m doing it for a business (I’d charge, based on what’s involved) or a non-profit (no charge). I’m not looking to get rich or build an empire, I’m just looking to have fun outside of my day job. Talk to me if you’re wondering whether you can afford me because I bet you can. And it’s always nice to have expenses of film or travel covered, but again, not looking to get rich.
